My Story

I started this blog as a platform to share my ideas to the public and to record my reflections along the journey, inspired by Paul Graham and Alexander Hamilton.

I believe that life is a collection of experiences that shape who we ultimately become

Here are some of the most defining experiences I've had, in chronological order:

1. I started my first company when I was 16, which ended up raising approximately 100,000 USD to develop technical solutions to the Ukrainian refugee crisis.

2. Got a taste of research working with Dr Kenneth Lim on robotics at NTU for 3 years. Formed invaluable friendships with my colleagues and mentor

3. Interned at Doctors Without Borders Norway as their youngest recruit at 17, where I got a crash course in NGO coordination and cold-calling donors (nailed a few). Also, sampled the real perk of the job: free office ice cream.

4. Took a gap year at 18 to travel around Southeast Asia. I left my footprints in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Thought it’d be fun to try fire jump rope— got roasted and saved by a friend.

5. Interned at the United Nations under Juliet Hollister and met with politicians, ministers, and diplomats. Key lesson: Decision-making is an equilibrium of ideals, personal interests, socio-economic conditions, and more. Communication often determines the time it takes for the system to achieve that equilibrium.

6. On my way to become a master diver. Waved at mesmerized kids from the other side in Singapore Aquarium.

7. Gave up my full-ride scholarship to NTU and NUS College, the two best colleges in Asia, and a full-ride Master in Robotics from NUS to pursue education in the States at Duke University.

8. Spent my freshman summer in Arcadia, a hacker house at UC Berkeley. Met legendary figures in Silicon Valley like Sam Altman and inspiring youths. Received a grant from 1517 (Peter Thiel's fund) to develop autonomous drones.

9. Stay tuned for more
